Reminder: ITU Multisport World Championships moved to 2021, options ‘regular’ Challenge Almere-Amsterdam 2020 in research: decision by July 1st at the latest

Following our previous message, in which we indicated that after extensive consultation with all parties involved, it was decided not to organize the ITU Multisport World Championships in 2020, but to postpone it to 2021, we notice that there are still quite a few questions coming in about what this means for our event in September 2020. Will CHALLENGEALMERE-AMSTERDAM take place and if so, in what form? We will inform you at latest the 1st of July about this!

We would like to repeat: we are currently considering the various possibilities. For the time being, races such as the Junior Challenge and Business-Relay (10 September 2020), No-Limit Challenge and Senior Challenge (11 September 2020) and Open Series Long Distance (12 September 2020) remain scheduled on the original date. Nothing has changed about our ambition to make these races happen.

The past period our team has been looking at the possibilities and in the upcoming weeks we will continue to do so.

No later than July 1st we will inform you – athletes – about CHALLENGEALMERE-AMSTERDAM 2020. Information is of course posted on our website, social media channels and sent by newsletter

Refund

Of course we are aware that there is a refund scheme whereby athletes – who have taken out a cancellation option for this purpose – receive one hundred percent of their registration fee back if they cancel their registration before 1 July. We will extend the deadline for this refund schema if we will communicate at July 1st about CHALLENGEALMERE-AMSTERDAM 2020, so that you can still make use of it!
