It’s a big honor: to be included in the Almere variant of the world famous family game Monopoly. Today this happend for Challenge Almere-Amsterdam: this race is one of the streets in the game that fully contains out of Almere’s famous locations, organizations and events. The game was officially unveiled today, in the presence of the creators and also the mayor.
The game is available at the VVV (tourist information) and in the PLUS-stores (supermarket) of Almere. The profits will be given to the ‘Oranje Huis’. This is a local living space for victims of domestic violence. Race Director Richard Belderok is very pleased with the fact that Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is included in the game. ‘It’s a nice recognition for our race, which really belongs to the city. I’ve said it before, but Almere is triathlon and triathlon is Almere.”
