High school students can register for the Junior Challenge: the Dutch Championship School Triathlon that will be held during the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam on Friday September 9th. The youngsters will compete against each other on the official course of Europe’s oldest long distance triathlon. They will swim 380 meter, cycle 18 kilometers, and run 4,2 kilometer. Individual students will participate in two categories: lower and upper classes of high school. Furthermore, schools will be ranked according to their students’ results. Almere’s high school Echnaton is co-organizer of this race. The Junior Challenge is organized under the authorization of KVLO-Schoolsport, Olympic Moves, because of which the race counts as a Dutch Championship open to professional as well as recreational athletes.
