Junior Challenge

400m swim – 9km bike – 2km run

In 2025, CHALLENGEALMERE-AMSTERDAM will again organize the Junior Challenge. This race for school attending youth takes place on Thursday, September 11th. It is being organized together with high school Echnaton on behalf of the KVLO-school sports, Olympic Moves. This makes it a Dutch Championship accessible for both professional athletes and recreational athletes.

The two days before the CHALLENGEALMERE-AMSTERDAM in Almere, students are allowed to race on the official course. The distances are adjusted, creating a great challenge for students from secondary education. The students participate in two categories: under 16 years and 16 years and older.

The distances are:

  • 400m swimming in the Weerwater in Almere
  • 9km cycling
  • 2km running

This triathlon is a challenge for which stamina and endurance are needed. All this together make this is very spectacular!
