Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is proud to announce the partnership with Zorggroep Almere. As a golden sponsor, this largest health care provider in Almere will facilitate the medical service during the triathlon in September. The doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other (para)medics of Zorggroep Almere will take care of athletes after they finish. Furthermore, Zorggroep Almere will provide medical support on the course, and they will provide medical facilities and medication to assist athletes when necessary.
“Zorggroep Almere exists for all citizens of Almere. The triathlon is the oldest event in this city and therefore an important part of the short though rich history of Almere. Many inhabitants participate in the triathlon as an athlete or volunteer. Therefore, we see it as our responsibility to offer our support to this event, the athletes, and this city as well”, according to Lidy Hartemink, manager at Zorggroep Almere. With 21 health care institutions and 7 retirement homes, Zorggroep Almere is the largest health care provider in Almere. “Our employees work according to the ideology of Planetree, in which health care is provided based on need. The triathlon also requires a custom-made approach. From 2015 onwards, the Zorggroep Almere will provide professionals and material to the triathlon as a Golden Sponsor”.

“Besides commercial sponsors that aid the triathlon financially, social partners are also very important to our organization”, according to chairman Patrick Seinstra. “They are the ones that provide us with knowledge, materials, and professionals. Zorggroep Almere is such a partner because of which we are ensured of optimal care for our participating athletes before and during the event”.
The organization especially appreciates partnerships with local and regional sponsors. “Together we share the interest to produce an attractive sports event”. Challenge Almere-Amsterdam 2015
The triathlon weekend will take place on 11, 12, and 13 September 2015. The Challenge Almere-Amsterdam starts and finishes in Almere, and takes athletes through the polders of Flevoland, situated 4,5 meters beneath sea level. The long distance triathlon consists of a 3,8 km swim course, 180 km bike course, and 42,2 km run course. It will take place on Saturday 12 September, together with the half distance, TriTogether, and Business4Tri.
