Medi-Mere New Title Sponsor of KidsRun Challenge Almere-Amsterdam: Free Participation for Children

The KidsRun of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam – on the calendar for two years now and rapidly growing in popularity – will now officially become the Medi-Mere KidsRun. General practice Medi-Mere is stepping in as the main sponsor of the children’s running race and is making participation completely free for kids.

The Medi-Mere KidsRun will take place this year on September 12, 2025, and is one of the side events of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam. Over the past two years, the KidsRun has proven to be highly popular, with registration limits being reached. This year, it’s expected to happen again – especially since children aged four to twelve can now participate for free thanks to Medi-Mere.

Han van der Steeg, owner of Medi-Mere General Practice, is clear about the support: “At Medi-Mere, we believe that a healthy lifestyle starts at a young age. By supporting this KidsRun, we want to inspire children and parents to get moving together. It’s wonderful to see how much energy and joy sport can bring.”

Jefry Visser, Event Director of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam, agrees: “We want to give as many children as possible the chance to enjoy sports. Thanks to Medi-Mere’s involvement, we can remove barriers and create a real celebration for all kids. Health, movement, and fun come together during the Medi-Mere KidsRun. And for many children, this is also a great way to get to know Challenge Almere-Amsterdam – perhaps they’ll be the triathlon heroes of the future.”

You can register immediately – and free of charge – for the Medi-Mere KidsRun via https://challenge-almere.com/races/kidsrun. There, you’ll also find more information about the event.
