After the Challenge weekend, AMA (Almere Market research Advise) asked on behalf of the organization all participants what they thought about the event. Their comments on the course, the care for athletes, and other things that need to be amended will be taken into account to organize an even better race in 2015. “Great,” concludes chairman Patrick Seinstra. “Last year athletes gave us a 6,8. Now we have been awarded with an 8,5 for the entire event!”. “Organization, friendliness of the volunteers, care for the athletes through first aid / food etcetera was great”, according to one of the participants.
Athletes could give their opinion about all aspects of the race via the evaluation form: the course, the briefing, the food, the care before, during, and after the race, the accessibility of the race and the communication about the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam. The volunteers especially received many compliments from the athletes, and the new bike course was received enthusiastically. Furthermore, 70% of the athletes said that the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam was better than other races in which they competed. The organization is currently working hard to improve some aspects of the race for the 2015 edition: the website will receive a makeover and the live registration of the athletes during the race will be improved as well. The registration process has been changed in the last few weeks. In this new system more payment methods can be used to pay, like iDeal, MisterCash and V-Pay. “With these new payment methods, we try to offer both Dutch and international athletes more options to register easily,” says race director Richard Belderok.
