Daylicense
Challenge Long Distance & license
If you are not a member of your national triathlon federation or if you have a basic membership, purchasing a day license is mandatory at the cost of 66,75 euros. For participants up to 23 years of age, a day license costs 5,75 euros.

Challenge Middle Distance & license
A license is mandatory at the cost of 44,25 euros if you are not a member of your national triathlon federation or if you have a basic membership.

Challenge Aquabike
A license is mandatory at the cost of 44,25 euros for Middle Distance or 66,75 euros for Long Distance if you are not a member of your national triathlon federation or if you have a basic membership. For participants up to 23 years of age, a day license costs 5,75 euros.
Entries close on 7 September 2026 or earlier when full capacity is reached.
Carbo Loading Party & extra tickets
In normal cases, the Friday before the race (after the Briefing) the Carbo Loading Party will be organized for all athletes. It is possible to buy additional tickets during the registration process online or on site at the infodesk.
Cancellation
Cancellation policy
Athletes registering for the Long or Middle Distance, either the Relay or individual category can opt to buy an additional cancellation option during the online registration process.
*Reimbursement of entry fee shall be possible by withdrawing via email at info@challenge-almere.com under the following conditions:
-
- Cancellation on or before June 30th: 100% refund of the entry fee.
- Cancellation between July 1st and August 26th: 50% refund of the entry fee.
- Cancellation between August 27th and September 5th: 20% refund of the entry fee.
- After September 5 entry fees will no longer be reimbursed.
– When cancelling with a cancelation option purchased, no reason needs to be supplied.
– It is not possible in any case to transfer to another Challenge Family event, to another year or to another person.
– It is possible to change from Long Distance to Middle Distance, or from the individual triathlon to a Relay or Aquabike without any refund, also without a cancelation option purchased.
– No changes in team members are permitted after September 5th 2026.
– Entries close on September 7th 2026 or when full capacity is reached.
SIDE EVENTS
Junior Challenge
Registration for the Junior Challenge is free of charge for high school students between the ages of 12 and 18. Registration is completed by the PA teacher of the high school. Click here for more info and registration.
The timing chip and license costs are covered by the organization.
Breach Student Relay
The Student Relay is specifically designed for students. Together with two friends, you’ll get a fantastic introduction to triathlon: everyone swims 380 meters in the Weerwater, cycles a 9-kilometer circuit around the Weerwater, and runs another 2 kilometers through Almere-Stad city center. >>Click here for more info and registration.
RABO Business Relay
A timing chip and day license of the national triathlon federation will provided by the organization.
Registration for the Business Relay includes 4 trainings in preparation, VIP treatment and additional extras as described on the special Business Relay page.
Family Relay
For the Family Relay, the registration fee is €75,- per team (incl VAT). A timing chip is included, but a day license (€5,00 per person) of the national triathlon federation must be purchased if a team member does not have this yet. >>Click here for more info and registration.
Senior Challenge and No-Limit Challenge = Challenge4All
The registration fee for the Senior Challenge is €15,-, registration is open to participants with a minimum age of 55 years.
The No-Limit Challenge is open to athletes with intellectual disability.

Medi-Mere Kidsrun
Children can participate in the 500 meter Run, 1000 meter Run and 2000 meter Run and run through the city center of Almere. Of course, all children will finish at the magical spot where the European Championships Long Distance Triathlon will take place only one day later! >>Click here for more info and registration.
